We conduct all activities within our supply chain in accordance with the principles of “Integrity and Transparency,” adhering to business practices and ethical standards, and operating in an environmentally and socially responsible, honest, transparent, fair, and impartial manner.

Regarding “Supplier Communication,” we aim to maintain our supplier relationships with all our stakeholders within the framework of corporate social responsibility, positively impacting the environment and society. By supporting development and improvement in all areas of our business processes, we aim to contribute to sustainability in cooperation and solidarity with our suppliers.

We expect our suppliers to conduct their business within the framework of accuracy, honesty, and ethical understanding; and to be sensitive to human rights, occupational health and safety, employee rights, and environmental issues. As EAE Lighting, we provide the necessary support to create “Supplier Awareness” and strengthen existing competencies. We enable our suppliers to combat climate change, improve energy efficiency, protect raw materials, and carry out recycling activities to reduce waste, and we aim to increase the support we offer.

Our “Quality Management” principle aims to act in accordance with the concept of Sustainable Procurement in addition to quality, cost, and delivery activities. We expect our suppliers to establish a Quality Assurance System to ensure quality and conduct operations that comply with safety standards and legal obligations. We require our suppliers to consistently meet our quality expectations, improve the quality of their products and services, and conduct their supply processes in accordance with our policies, standards, and criteria.

Regarding “Human Rights,” our suppliers are expected to demonstrate compliance with and commitment to the Human Rights Declaration, the United Nations Global Compact, the OECD Principles, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Our suppliers must act in compliance with the legal obligations (wages, working hours, freedom of association, fringe benefits, physical and mental fitness criteria) and labor laws of the country and region in which they operate. In addition, our suppliers must assign their staff in accordance with the International Labor Organization (ILO) principles on child labor, forced labor, discrimination, and harassment.

Under “Health and Safety,” our suppliers must analyze and address risks to prevent any health issues that may occur in the workplace and affect surrounding areas.

“Environmental protection” is important to EAE Lighting. As EAE Lighting, we commit to complying with laws, obligations, regulations, and standards to minimize risks within our supply chain. We encourage our suppliers to calculate their greenhouse gas emissions and to work on emission reduction. This includes identifying the environmental impacts and risks associated with the services they provide to our company. Our company requires our suppliers to establish an Environmental Management System (EMS) to minimize damage to the environment, to act in line with our industry’s net-zero emissions vision, and to make significant efforts in the areas of natural resource efficiency, energy use, and chemical management.

Our suppliers are expected to show high sensitivity regarding “Bribery, Corruption, Conflicts of Interest, and Gifts.” We do not work with any suppliers who engage in, support, or tolerate bribery, corruption, or fraud activities. If any of the aforementioned negative activities are detected in our suppliers with whom we have a business relationship, the supplier’s relationship with EAE Aydınlatma is immediately terminated. Our suppliers must refrain from making promises or engaging in practices that would benefit either our company or any other person or institution. Assessments and audits required for “Situation Assessment, Performance Evaluation, and Improvement” are conducted by EAE Lighting or its contracted firm in accordance with national and international audit standards. Efforts are made to identify areas of weakness and resolve them through cooperation between the supplier and EAE Lighting.

Our suppliers are expected to declare their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), primarily in terms of responsible production and consumption. EAE Lighting uses the EcoVadis ESG Scoring System with the “basic” classification option to identify the strengths and areas for improvement of its suppliers and to conduct environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risk assessments. ESG topics assessed in line with our policy include energy consumption, water, biodiversity, pollution, waste, customer safety, industrial safety, labor practices, human rights, corruption, bribery, fraud, money laundering, and sustainable procurement criteria.

“Implementation and Monitoring” is a priority for EAE Lighting. As with other policies, it is essential that our suppliers, business partners, and employees fully comply with this policy. The Responsible Procurement and Supply Chain Policy is reviewed and updated in line with changing and evolving standards. Updates are promptly integrated into implementation processes.

In the “Supplier Selection” process, supplier candidates must complete the evaluation forms sent by EAE Lighting accurately and completely. Our supplier candidates are expected to have management system certifications or global certificates in various ISO Standards that are verified from an environmental, social, and governance perspective according to the sustainability requirements of the supplier class and the value chain we are part of, and to ensure that the periodic monitoring, evaluation, and preventive approaches of these requirements are fully provided.

Companies that comply with EAE Lighting’s policies and operate business processes in line with national and international laws, obligations, regulations, and standards are prioritized in the supplier selection process.
